About Me
I am newly married to the most loving, kind and handsome man. I am also a mom of two boys & one girl, ages 26, 23, & 20 and now two new step children, a boy age 9 and a girl age 11. I am looking forward to a lifetime with my new husband and our now combined family! On December 26th, 2007 I had back surgery to fix a broken disk & to remove bone fragments that had broken off the damaged disk and were sticking in my sciatic nerve in various locations. The surgeon also fixed two herniated disks too. I was bedbound for three months prior to my surgery. I have been up and around since the day of my surgery. I have been working on strengthing my muscles and healing. I have been on disability since 8/2007. I also have fibromyalgia, arthritis, depression, chronic pain, and have had a stroke believed to have been caused by my severe migraines which are under control now with medication. I am interesting in how others have dealt with similiar health problems like I have and to make some friends.

Interests
I love spending time in the outdoors with my new husband and enjoy spending time with all my kids very much. I love swimming, photography, baking, painting, decorating, reading, writing, traveling, helping in the community, the outdoors, going out with friends, music, sewing, canning and gardening.

- did not help with my depression at all...made me feel worse
Close Back Pain
I have had back pain and problems since I fell down the porch steps. I had herniated disks L-4 and L-5. Severe sciatic pain. Oh my God. I thought child birth was bad. Whew!! I wanted to die. bedridden. injections, etc. Finally a surgeon found that there was pieces of one disk broke off and were sticking in my sciatic nerve. Did surgery dec 26 2007. I am healing, strengthing, trying to weight and keep my sanity in check. Still can go for a walk. But the severe sciatic is gone.

- Helped the first time I had it done. Worked for 28 days with sciatic pain during the first couple of months. Second one helped somewhat but lasted less than two weeks. I had a total of six.

- I would use it as much as possible. it helped some
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- I was on norco for a year. my body got used to it.

- This definitely was my life saver the last 4 months before my surgery. A bad drug to come off of. Phew!

- My primary had me do this for a month. Never made it past the second time. aggriaved sp? condition to worse

- I go to the pool and swim. it helped but this was after my back surgery.

Hi to all, I have had fibromyalgia for 7 years.

- Just made me feel sleepy and yucky

- took morphine for back injury before surgery and of course it helped with my pain

- has never helped me. also have tried to get off of it and the effects are absolutely horrible. my opinion is do not take it.

- made me feel more painful all over my body
Open Sciatica
I suffered with sciatica pain for about a year and a half after I took a fall. It was going down my left leg. It got so severe that I ended up bedbound and on morphine. I had every test, xray etc there was. The 6th surgeon found on the films that I had broken a disk and had bone fragments sticking into the sciatic nerve. It has been one year since my surgery on Dec 26, 2007. I could get up out of bed right after the surgery. Healing has been taking awhile. Still some problems with left leg.

- I have been doing aquatic exercising at an indoor heated pool.
- Naproxen Working / Worked
- This medication does seem to help.
