Hello my pd freinds
Hello to all and hope this finds you in good spirits. I haven't written in awhile so having a little time this morning, I said …
I'm 58 years old from Eastern Kentucky. I used to walk 3-4 miles a day, but my pd has worsened and my gait is so much smaller in stride and speed, so I'm not getting the cardiovascular work out I need. My leg as healed other than some minor swelling and I'm back to work. I was diagnosed with PD about a year and a half ago and I'm now on Senemet 25/100 3 times a day. The worst thing was having to give up playing my guitars as my fingers just don't want to go where I wish them to, but I'm enjoying teaching two of my grandkids to play. PD isn't the end of our lives, just an adjustment. I hope and pray y'all adjust well.

Driving Driving its nice, thanks for your message, i imagine, or actually i cant imagine what it would be like to have my licence taken away from this stupid pd! Mine was taken away from me for being an idiot and driving with alcohol in me, very bad. I would struggle massively with them taking away my freedom,, although its coming l fear,. The people who grant licences here in Australia, know im on medication for pd, and l have to undertake a yearly test to see if im fit to drive EEEK

Thank you for the lovely bouquet of flowers. We're all taking things one day at a time, right? One foot in front of the other, hopefully always moving forward! I hope you're doing okay. Thinking of you, Iris
was just diagnosed with early stage 2 PD. I've been prescribed Requip and it has done wonders in lessening the tremors in both hands, however the muscle tightness is still there and occasional balance problems. I've read a lot of articles and facts from Doctors and PD Associations about the disease but thought it would be nice to find a group of others with PD to read their stories. I live alone so I don't have the day to day family support so again, thought this would be a good venue for me to use. Thank you in advance for your stories and assistance.
