Aloha!
For the last couple of years I have helped with my son's halloween party at school. He changed schools and I was told there was enough help for his class so I offered to help with my step daughter Madison's second grade class.
Well a few nights ago my husband's ex called and I was asked not to do the party for Madison because her mother wanted to do it. So I bowed out but had this fear the mother wouldn't show up. In the past she hasn't been very dependable with events like this.
I wanted to make sure Madison had a 'mom' there so I went to the school anyway just to make sure her mom showed up. Well she did so I graciously left and went home...dressed in a witches costume. I was disappointed but oh well life is to short to worry about not being able to help at a school party. Perhaps next year.
Tonight we are going to my children's old school from last year for a Halloween party. It has face painting, games, prizes and of course candy. My sister is bringing her one year old daughter dressed in this cute little puppy costume and I will remain a witch. My daughter and sister are both dressing as clowns.
My eleven year old I believe will be wearing his cologne in hopes of impressing the young lady he liked from last year. He keeps asking me if I think Carmen will be there? Her parents are active with the children so I'm sure she will show up. If she isn't there I know he will be really disappointed.
While I'm gone my husband and brother in law plan to have some quality 'man time'. Pizza, beer and sports on TV.
The wrist is feeling ok. Still a nusiance. I believe I will get a new 'soft' cast before my trip next month which will be nice.
Have a safe Halloween.

a witch with a cast may bring a smile or two. I'm not sure what the punch line would be but I'll try to think of something. Hope you have a wonderful night and all of you return to normal tomorrow!
