Close Sarcoidosis
Saw consultant today (2 Oct) and she is delighted with recent test results - so am I! Sarcoidosis is a little understood affliction and I know how lucky I have been
Close High Blood Pressure
Used to control BP with diet and exercise but now that I am getting older, GP monitors and controls it with medication.
Treatments
- Atacand Too Soon to Tell
- Working and cough has subsided :))
- Lisinopril Working / Worked
- Had to come off this too - cough became too irritating especially in bed
Open Aneurysms
My son, 1 month after his 30th birthday, suffered a massive brain haemorrhage, and is lucky to be alive. His was a frontal lobe ruptured aneurysm which has since been coiled. Thirteen months on his recovery has still not been good enough to allow him to live independently. Reluctantly, we are investigating a care home environment for him but not giving up hope that his brain might 'regenerate'
Treatments
- Coiling Working / Worked
- The MRA scan was excellent. anterior communicating artery aneurysm completely occluded and no other arterial abnormalities demonstrated :))
Open Paralysis
Type: Quadriplegic, Hemiplegic (one side)My son is having a difficult recovery after a massive brain haemorrhage in August last year. His lower body is very paralysed with a constriction in his right leg meaning that he cannot stand. He has some movement in his upper body particularly his left side. As time marches on, it looks as though he will remain dependant on others to provide all his nursing care needs.
Open Depression
Never thought I was depressed anyway but..............

- Taking the edge off things - not crying so much

- Needs self-discipline though so not always appropriate
