O.K., waited a couple weeks for appointment, this is the same Dr. that argued about my blood pressure riseing because of the visit to Dr.'s office(whole nother story). Anyway, when I saw my Dr. of 10 yrs. , that was replaced with this one because the 1st. one disappeared, actually she suddenly left hospital. So....1st Dr. dx'd planar fasciitis sent me to P.T. who sent me to ortho Dr.'s because what they were doing only seemed to make things worse. Ortho px'd night splints, which helps sometimes and he sent me back to pt. who sent me home because they couldn't help me anymore other than the stretching exercises.......well, to walk with minimal pain I use several Dr. Schoal's heel pad's(stacked) and arch supports. Also, I found a pair of Rick's( very similar, I'm told, to Crocks ? just a whole lot cheaper) any way must be soft, I walk well in mud ;) Anyway, several mnths ago pain started on top of R. foot, top of arch (where the tendon was torn from the bone, in fall where I had broken my back at t-12). The pain goes down to the big toe and the middle toe, back up to the ankle to the tendon up my leg, behind knee, side of thigh through right cheek to small of my back. Now that is the area where I have herniated disks L-4&5. To touch/or any pressure on any of the long area causes pain. To press the gas pedal when driving is very painful(I am the one who does all the driving, man person will not get his drivers license or another vehicle) I also drive gr.kids around to all the extracoriclors daughter has signed them up for. She can't do it because she works and thinks as grandmom I should have no problem taking them. I have a lot of pain when I get where I'm going and is very difficult to walk afterwards. So anyway.......started to tell Dr. what was new and she kept saying planar fasciitis....rest of your body compensates, then you hurt in those places. She has refered me to a Podiatrist who I see next Friday. I had asked her for a referral to a neurologist also, she said no it's all from planar fasciitis see the podiatrist, end of visit !!! Well, I also needed to change pain meds, up the tramadol, because I was under treating my fibro(because I do the driving). Decided I need to take care of my pain instead of the crap that I had let happen. SHE said that nothing really works for that pain but would do it anyway, see the podiatrist.....She thought I was talking about my foot!!!!! Both my feet burn, tingle, go numb, hurt, ache, needley, ants running, not in that order, before herniated disks, before planar fasciitis, it was said to be part of fibro and or siatica ?. So tired of Dr's, tired of pain on pain and Tired of all the guessing. Blah can' wait for podiatrist visit. Oh, just thought ...on a positive note.....I always have something to look forward to with each new visit to somewhere. ; )
