Yesterday I said good-bye to my brother & his wife & their 3 kids as they headed back to the UK after a 2 1/2 week visit. I will not see them again …
Hope you have a good day...238.
Just checked this and saw your messages. |Life busy here and will talk to you on Friday no doubt.
I really don't understand why it has take nine years before anyone could tell me that my son have a LD, but not just one, it seem as if everytime we go to a Dr. we are leave with a label. At first I felt like I should have known, but I'm not sure with what I should have known now, because what I felt was just he wasn't a strong reader, has turn into a lot more. I never could understand why you always had to repeat things to him, and he hate putting on clothes, and the fact that he only like to eat three main things everyday. I'm glad to hear that Ot will help him. It's like all they have done so far is test him, but we have not started anything else.
Thank you the info. about Dyslexia. I will go get the book overcoming Dyslexia ASAP. I sill have not been told if ,y son have ADD or, but on his last test I was told that he has Sensory Integration Dysfunction. Have you ever heard of that? With this coming out they asked me to make appointment for him to see a OT doctor next. I'm not sure what they will come up with next. Thanks for listen.
Would love to get up there sooner than later...just not sure when.
I have a 4 yr old little boy, called Alex, who weighs about 49 pbds & still likes to be carried.... however he also will walk over a mile to school!
I have a beautiful 6 year old daughter, called Annabel, who loves everything except dolls. She does not yet think girls rule the world but it will come! She goes into 2nd grade in fall 06
I have just completed, along with 5 other mothers, the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer - a 40 mile walk over a weekend through San Fran. It was one of the most amazing experiences - we were walking with men and women, survivors and friends of all types all to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer. If you are thinking of entering one of these events please just do it - it was phenomenal - we raised $26,000+ between us - the event raised over $5,000,000. My reasons for doing it? I have a family history of cancer and I know a number of people who have either had or have had there lives affected by Breast Cancer. DO you need a reason?
I played rugby for 8 years, stopping due to a twisted pelvis, back pain and sciatic pain. I had it treated and eventually stopping was my only pain free, drug free option. Since then I have had 2 kids but the problems still flare up - having completed a 40 mile walk with effectively one leg shorter than the other I am now seeing a chiropractor. Let's hope I can fix it once and for all - I'm not having more kids and I don't intend to play rugby again either!
Jeremy's question and the step further of if you are adopted why do some want to find their biological parents and some do not? My mother-in-law is adopted and never knew her birth mother...this lady in the dog park told me that she too was adopted and never wanted to know who her birth parents were - she new they very young (early teens) and that was enough for her.....
Both my children have molluscum. My son first around his genitals and then my daughter on her chest. My son had 13 at the last trip to the dermatologist & my daughter had countless as she has been scratching & therefore spreading them. We have just had the 2nd lot of treatment with Beetle Juice and we will see how it works. However I do know it will only get rid of the spots and not the infection itself so more could appear.
My 7yr old daughter has just been diagnosed with dyslexia (as well as ADD and possible sleep apneia). She is in 2nd grade and despite being the youngest is one of the top of her class, however put a page of sums infront of her and she freaks out. She has recently been teased for spelling her name with a d rather than a b..... Her teacher has been fanatastic and we have had 2 SST's and were told that it was not ADHD so the school could not test & so went to a neuro developmental specialist.
