About Me
I am a tried and true New Yorker!! I am from Syracuse and really miss living there except for the snow. I would spend time in NYC when possible. Lived in California for awhile when I was in the Air Force. We live in Georgia now and its ok. I never thought any place could be so hot and humid! Love the Yankees, Giants, and SU Basketball. More then that my kids are my life. My oldest daughter is married and lives in New York. I was blessed to inherit her when I got married. My other daughter is 18 and truely a blessing and a miracle. She was diagnosed with PPH at age 10 and received a double lung transplant from her guardian angel Cameron when she was 11. At 18 she is a normal teenager! Unfortunately she has gone into rejection just recently and I am fearful for her life. I have been a Nurse a few decades and love what I do although I wish I could retire soon.

This is one of the biggest problems with donor awareness, STUPID PEOPLE. I can't believe that man is in the field he is in. My heart goes out to you because I know it must have been hard to sit there and hear those words out of that womens mouth. You must be a very strong person, we need more people like you in this world.

Close Organ Transplants
Types: LungMy daughter (now 18) had a double lung transplant for PPH coming up on 7 years ago. I am also a nurse. I speak to groups about organ donation whenever possible. I would like to give and get support as this is a very trying experience for the whole family.

- just added. did not work after transplant. she has developed rejection for the first time in 6 years so will try anything
- Prograf Working / Worked
- who knows. is also on methotrexate

My father committed suicide when I was 8. It was many years ago but it still impacts my life greatly.
Open Pulmonary Hypertension
My daughter was diagnosed with PPH at age 10. Her pressure was 150 and she was asymptomatic. She got a double lung transplant 6 years ago at age 11.
