I am a 32 year old female who has been diagniosed since early of 2007. I have a husband of 13 yrs and a 11 year old son. I love gospel music, funny movies and trying to find something different to eat besides this diet. I do not work at this time as I am always going to the bathroom or just cant sit for long periods of time. I joined this group to seek help and friendship from people like me. I also hope I can help others. Laura

Hello Laura :-) Yea it's turning out to be a real pain in the ass to get my Social Security benefits which I feel that I am fully entitled too. Since I am only 30 years old the State of California says that I am to young to receive these benefits. Even though I have worked over half my life paying taxes I still was denied. I guess You have to be missing a FN body part or something to Qualify for benefits these days. Anyways I hired a Disability lawyer like 3 months ago and waiting for my hearing with a disability judge or something in March I think. I was just so sick of filling out paperwork for a year straight and honestly I regret not getting the lawyer sooner. Yea so now I just have to live in poverty and wait for court hearing. Unfortunately the lawyer himself told me that the US is rejecting 8 out of 10 claims during these times of economic turmoil so I am expecting to go through a long battle just so I can get the money I worked 12 years for .I paid Taxes since I was like 17 and it is very frustrating not to be able get some financial relief. LOL I guess it really doesn't matter because when you are in so much pain all the Fn money in the world could not help you. OK GL to you Laura and If I were you I would hire some legal representation ASAP and just Hope that they can get you what you deserve. Also if the lawyer does not win your case for you it does not cost you a dime!! They cost around 5 k and if they do the job I feel that they are worth every penny. I keep ya posted. Take Care :-)

Close Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
I am a 32 yr old white female who has a son that will soon be 11 yrs old I have not met anyone yet that has interstitial cystitis, or anyone who has even heard of it. My husband thinks its not real as do some family members, and I know my son doesnt understand why his mom hurts and has ro eat "different" food. I am sure I have had this for along time. It took 6 months for a Dr. to even find out I had it. After going to 8 different Drs. some were so called pros, I finally when to a pain pelvic center where I was taken seriously. The dr. said it was on of the worse cases he had ever seem as I was treating it as a yeast infection, which is the worst thing I could do. I just now want to talk to people who dont think I am a nut case Laura
