feeling a little relief
WELL, i'm feeling a little relief but i can't help but feel some frustration... this is my third child and it's strange my other children …
im 30 years old .. and im pregnant with my fourth child... however just last week my third child, my son ian was diagnosed with idiopathic infantile nystagmus.. and needless to say as any good parent would be my husband and i are scared , confused and in need of some support from other parents, or people who deal or have dealt with this syndrom.. we have so many question. ... and i'm glad to see that we've finally found a support group.

Hi! How is it going? I hope you are feeling well! Take care and just a reminder we are here for you this is a great site! Beckie
when my son was born he had swallowed a lot of fluid and had also pooped in utero .. so he had swallowed meconium.. also i was positive for the group b strep which isnt a big deal for woman, but a baby can get really sick if he picks it up during the delivery... so he spent 3 weeks in the nicu at josh dempsy hospital , other wise known as uconn in farmington ct.... immediately we noticed that his eyes were constantly moving side to side.. and sometimes they would move up and down and bounce in a circular motion. we went to the pediatrician who then gave us a referral to a child opthamologist ... he than described to us what is idiopathic infantile nystagmus... my son is five months old and we feel so helpless... he's been through too much in his short life.. and he doesn't deserve to go through any more ... but i would really like to meet people who live with this or who have children who have this. thank you.
