    About Me

www.cairfoundationinc.com VERY excited to join this group and to learn from others! And to begin something near and dear to my heart and soul. Am in the process of organizing a non-profit to help people who have experienced catastrophic auto injuries, trauma through awareness, education, research and support. C.A.I.R. stands for Catastrophic Auto Injury Research. We have a website that is a work in progress and are in the process of finding people who have interest in helping to get the organzing off the ground. One of the first programs we are going to start is a Canine & Cat CAIR Support program where dogs and cats are adopted trained in basic obiedence and matched with people who have had an accident or trauma injury. My experience is over 12 years ago had such an accident and found through my own extensive research that the medical community is not trained in the physics of such severe accidents and have usual miss / ignore injuries completely and / or misdiagnose the injury. Which of course leaves an person in agonizing dibilitating pain that maybe if caught immediately after the accident there would be SOME change of recovery to a normal life of work, health, and social activities. This I have come to believe is another evolution in health care and humane understanding. Also have the support of an UNCONDITIONAL COMPANION like a dog or cat creates an invisible support system that is not found anywhere else. And this love is always there 24/7 no matter setbacks or pain one is in. This Canine & Cat CAIR Support, C2CS Program came about from my own experience with a 3 month old chow/mix puppy I adopted almost 10 years ago. She saved me from so much and with her love, "Zena-Love" is her name my life and more importantly my attitude would not be the same! I welcome inquiries for more information from thosewho have suffered injuries, medical professionals and humane societies! Thank you for taking the time to read this!

cairfoundation hasn’t entered any details for this support group.
    • Close War & Terrorism

I have been dealing with at first, severe ptsd from a catastrophic car accident. Have NEVER been diagnosed cause all the doctors I have seen have no understanding. My own research has helped me improve my condition & finally more at peace with the accident and not having the horrific memories. Never give up trying to get better and finding the right people to help you! EMDR, Massage Therapy, Physical therapy, my dog ZENA-LOVE and meditation have all been very very helpful in getting better.

    • Open Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

MY PTSD started after a catastrophic car accident in 1995. Have never found a doctor that had a clue what I was dealing with. Most all docs thought I was just being too emotional! After more than 12 years of research, different therapies I am almost 100% feeling very normal with no terror or fear of the accident like before!!!!!!

      Treatments

      EMDR Working / Worked
This helped me over come the worst of the terrorizing flashbacks and helped open the door to gain some kind of strength. Took a while to get through the worst. Difficult to go through the terror part.
      Guided Imagery Working / Worked
Helped and still does calm me down when ever I had experienced a scary flashback. Helps with my headaches and if I have a lot going on.
      Music Working / Worked
Back to enjoying this and really helps stay in the moment.
