Well I was able to pick up Zeus on Saturday morning and it appears as if his running around with his buddy Nick, the landsacpers dog was what started the whole thing. His arthritus really kicked in and much like his Dad he said the hell with it and just played and ran until it caught up with him. And boy did it ever. But he's home and feeling better and on meds and stuff. He wasn't a happy camper with me for making him stay the night at the vets but hey what can you do?
I was finally able to get some sort of kitchen back...Yahoo!!! I got dishes and food in the cupboards and pots and pans in the cabinets. swept the floor, washed down the counters, got everything out of the dishwasher and ran several more loads. It amazing! I all most have a kitchen. They still need to come and sand the floor and measure the counters, carpenters says about three weeks, that was two weeks ago and I'll believe it when I see it! Been over nine months! Might be done by Halloween!?
Got ready to use the new washer and dryer those front loader things and found out that my cousins wife had either used all of my detergent and softener, both brand new bottles, that's a hell of a lot of laundry or she threw them out...along with several of my dish towels and wash cloths. And I thought I had problems!??? I bought cheap detergent for them use on their things I guess she didn't like the idea. Did a load, threw it in the dryer and no power! Off to the bloody laundry matt.
Came out this morning and found that the small room off the kitchen is more or less finished. Finished enough for me to get out the bedroom and have a place to listen to music and play cards and Scrabble on the computer and things like that and not be stuck in that tiny room. Which I'm hoping will make my sleeping pattern return to more or less normal, this three-four in the morning stuff has got to stop!
Got the new vacuum cleaner put toghther and I have to admit it's been so long since I've had a vacuum that works properly that it's amazing at what they do! Good God! Amen.
Got the first jar of loose changed divided into thier numerical value, only one and half more to go. Will roll that money and it's all going into the get out tof Dodge fund.
Called the pool guy to close it down for the season.
Busy weekend! But it feels good to have some things settling into place before I have to be at work on Thursday night.
Almost done with putting everything on the ground or field of the quilt, a couple of more patches to sew then go like crazy with sewing butterflies to cover all the mistakes, By week's end I should be actually quiltting the thing. Thursday when I go up the mountain for the consulation for the EDG and colonoscopy will head further up the mountain and hit the fabric store and get some more for the name plate for the quilt. I hope to have it done and in the mail by Halloween...just in time to scar the crap out of the baby and baby's mother! It isn't as bad as I thought but isn't as good as I had hoped for. But this is the first of many and with each one they will improve.
So there you have it...life on the farm! Slowly improving and things are calming down for the time being. Feels good! And it's about damn time. Now get yourself well Jon and get focused and out of this place come spring!
