I hear the chimes a ringing, the second hand slowly inching its way around the face of time, the gentle sliding of the minute and hour hands moving so slowly that time seems to be standing still...but it isn't just moving extremely slow tonight. This will most likely be the longest night of my career...waiting, oh waiting for 8:00 AM! Wish it were a microwave and I could push a button and scream hurry! But, it will be here soon enough and then the invasion will be on, a cyclone of people and events and then come Monday morning, the dust will settle, the mess will be overwhelming, but Zeus and I will finally have the place to ourselfs for three bloody weeks! Isn't life grand...with plenty of tranquilers on hand what could possibly go wrong? Stay tuned for the continuing saga of my fucked up life in NC!
