2 years ago I lived in Europe with my (now) husband who thought he could do better work wise back in the states. We sold everything we had and came to California. bought a house and he did find a good job. Then, after 3 months he was laid off. And for the next 8 months we used up the rest of our savings and then lived off of credit cards. I finally found a per diem job, which pays really well and after a whole year he found a job in retail that pays next to nothing, but it helps. We are not our of the woods yet, but on our way. I joined this forum in the hopes that maybe i can help someone else.

2 years ago i lived in Europe with my (now) husband who thought he could do better job wise in the US. We sold everything and moved to Calif. Bought a house. He did find a good paying job, but was laid off after 3 months. For the next 8 m. we lived off the rest of our savings and credit cards. I finally found a well paying job, that is part time right now but has a lot of potential. After a year my husband found a job in retail. We are not out of the woods yet, but on our way.
Treatments
- Debt Consolidation Working / Worked
- took out an equity loan to pay off credit cards. A lot less interest to pay.
- Earn Money Working / Worked
- Started selling AVON again and even though you have to put out a little bit of money, the rewards are great.
- Filing for Bankruptcy Working / Worked
- Husband's ex had filed for bankruptcy while they were separated and then the creditors came after him for $ 60.000. So he had to file for bankruptcy. But at least we have that monkey off our backs.
