How did it go for you at the ER?

I think at some point we have all went to the ER for our back, neck or head pain. It is fine. Of course you may run into a person who thinks your a drug seeker and you really dont have pain but as long you know the truth - screw them. I have come to that conclusion. They are not living in this body and living with this pain. So dont suffer - go get treatment before the pain gets out of control.

Close Degenerative Disc Disease
I am new to this group but jumped over from the tinnitus group. I have had degenerative disc problems since 2002-already 2 surgeries and I am facing a surgery to remove deteriorated disc and collapsed disc using bone graft and cage with rods and screws. Has anyone in this group had this type of surgery. I am really nervous about this surgery. Please let me know if you are familiar with this procedure.

Open GERD & Heartburn
I have had heart burn lately or gerd and dr gave me something to take and it helped so I quit. Lately at night when i get in bed, I have the heartburn along with this weird problem. When I breathe out, i hear a noise like a horn or something like that. What could this be? It only happens after I go to bed. Thanks Brenda

Open Back Pain
I have DDD disease and am in pain all the time. The dr says now I have 2 collapsed disc. Could they be pressing on nerve. Yesterday my pain got much worse with more pain going to legs. My surgery dr gives me Lortab 10 but I always run out of them. Should I talked to him about going to a pain clinic. Also what does pain dr. do?
