I haven't been through a PE or surgery for such, but I am glad to hear you're ok. I have a DVT from surgery recovery. I am scared about the PE possibility.
My prayers are with you!

Aw, thanks for your comment on my journal about the stockings. Mine are from toe, or right before the toes, up to the top of my thigh. Seriously, there are worse things than wearing stockings, but it's just thinking about the wardrobe changes I'll need to make that's getting to me a bit. I'm a dress and skirt wearer in the summer. Well, all year long actually, but bare legged in the summer. It feels really shallow to say this, but I'm experiencing aggitation over what I'll be wearing this summer. I suspect I'll like them in the winter because they'll keep me toasty!

hi rumgirl :) it seems like this operation isnt common knowledge which worries me a bit as they mentioned it as soon as they found that I had PE again... why did they deem the operation necessary for you? thanks for replying by the way x

Close Pulmonary Embolism
I had blood clots in both lungs, leaving only 1/3 of my right lung supporting my body. After 6 months of being in and out of hospitals and trying to dissolve them with meds, went to UCSD and had a surgical procedure- pulmonary thromboendarterectomy. I now take 12.5 mg of Coumadin a day and am living a normal life.
