I'm a stay at home Christian mother of 2. I work a part time job as hostess for 2 hours at a restaurant. My husband is my best friend & is very sympathetic & concerned about my headaches. We are praying for my thyroid cancer to remain "gone for good" & the cure for my daily headaches & migraines to come soon.

Thank you so much for answering my post "my cancer is stable..." I am sorry that you suffer from migraines (sp?). Thank you also for the blessing, I will take all I can get. My Mom is very religious, her friend is from the Pentecostal church she has a prayer circle and I believe that everyones prayers are WORKING!!! So thanks again and have a blessed day...Maria J.

Close Migraine Headaches
I am 31 year old female diagnosed with frequent migrains & tension headaches. I started seeing a neurologist in Nov 2006 for treatment. I have at least 4 very strong migraines a month
Treatments
- Acupuncture Considering
- A friend recommended I try it.
- Amerge Somewhat Helpful
- Did not completely eliminate my pain.
- Aspirin Not Working
- This was prior to treatment.
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful
- I try to keep the same intake of caffine a day & limit my chocolate, dairy products etc.
- Imitrex Working / Worked
- so far this has worked better than any other prescription, but it is VERY expensive.
- Magnesium Considering
- my neurologist mentioned me looking into it.
Close Thyroid Cancer
Type: Papillary CarcinomaNeurologist found nodules while doing routine exam for migraines. Had thyroid removed in Oct 07 & RAI in Dec 07.
Treatments
- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- In home treatment with isolation of 4 days from family. Side effects small nausea, loss of taste.
