Before I met my husband 9 years ago I was dating an attorney. He told me one day that he would not attend church with me because that was not "his life style". I was praying for God to send me a good looking man who would love me and spend time with me. I forgot to add "a Christian" man to my list. After this attorney told me about Christ not being his life style I started praying for God to send me a Christian man--that's it; just a Christian man. Well, I got more than I bargained for; not only is he a Christian, goodlooking, and caring, he is an old fashioned gentleman. We met in church where he had been a member almost 45 years and I had only recenlty started attending that church because that's where most of my family attended church. Later I moved my membership from my home church of 25 years. After my husband and I met I found out that every single woman in the church had tried to date him. He had not dated or been interested in anyone in the past two years since his former wife died. At his age he is one of the most handsome men I have ever seen, he's tall (I'm 5'11"), loves the beach as much as I do and until he got sick with Multiple Myeloma 5 1/2 years ago he was still water skiing and playing racket ball. He will be 84 years old this May. Now he's on chemo twice weekly, feeling too tired to do anything, depressed and angry. My heart aches for him!

My prayers are going out to you and your hubby. Life can be difficult but God doesn't give us more than we can handle. You sound like you found a wonderful man. Hang in there..

My husband died on June 14, just 10 days after he was admitted to Hospice. I miss him terribly!
