About Me
I am an middle age women of 52 years. My special needs son is now living in a group home. Releasing of stress from his care has opened up new interest. My physical problems are many: hbp, seizures, ra, arthritis, asthma, copd, 02 therapy, gerd, allergies to food meds and enviroment. There maybe 1 or 2 more but don't remember if there is.

Close Muscular Dystrophies
I started this support group. The reason I did this as a homehealth for many years and caring for those with MD, I realized anyone who deals with this disease no matter who needs the emotional support from others. Everyone will have a difference experience and I hope it will benifit all.
Close Sleep Apnea
Hi I am Marg. I belong to the allergy plus other support groups. I have had sleep apnea for years but diagnosised in 2005.
Treatments
- CPAP Working / Worked
- I am on disability. I worked for years as a homehealth aide. I went on disability after a surgery. I also have seizures,sleep apnea,high blood pressure,allergies plu many other things.
- Lose Weight Working / Worked
- When working I became extremely over wieght. The extra weight made breathing difficult. Also increased edmea,plus caused other complication physically.
Open Environmental Allergies
Type of allergy: OtherI'm Marg who has many medical issues. The most problematic are allergies, GERD,asthma, plus more. I also am a parent of an adult special needs individual.
Treatments
- Allegra Working / Worked
- I take allegra and allegra alternating nights. This treatment has been the best in controlling my allergies. No side effects.
- Allergy Shots Working / Worked
- They have worked great. Many years of getting them. I have finally gone from chronic bronichal asthma to mild asthma. My shots are monthly and am on maintance. I highly recommend the anyone.
- Flonase Working / Worked
- Fine used for a short while but caused nose bleeds if used daily.
- Nasal Irrigation Working / Worked
- Saline spray works the best when I need to use a nasal spray. Does not bother the nasal membranes to much. When I am extremely dry will help as well as when I am extremely runny. I only use as needed.
- Rhinocort AQ Working / Worked
- Only on for a short time. Caused noe bleeds.
- Singulair Working / Worked
- Have taken daily for at least 3 years. It controls not only the asthma but some of the allergies. I can tell when I don't take it.
- Sudafed Working / Worked
- Worked for a short while. Ended up having an allergic reaction to it.
- Zyrtec Working / Worked
- Did not work. Side effects, caused siezures. I take one and I will have siezures for the next 2 days.
