Now I am 32 and have been through the infertility ringer - and Thank God have made it out the other side with a beautiful - healthy baby boy. Now I am trying to get in shape before we try again for the next baby in September. We were finally successful with IUI and plan on using it again for the second one. Happily married for 2 1/2 years and loving being a mommy finally!

Close Infertility
: Hormonal DisordersI have PCOS and have been unsuccessful in concieving a baby. We have already tried for a year and done three rounds of clomid with no luck. We are now waiting on the results of our first round with IUI.
Treatments
- Artificial Insemination Too Soon to Tell
- Overall good experience. Only side effects were being really tired. And of course there are the daily blood tests, shots and ultrasounds - but none of it is painful.
- Clomid Not Working
- Bad side effects. Major mood swings and crying over everything. Did not work at all.
- Folic Acid Working / Worked
- Follistim Working / Worked
- Worked to grow the follicles and we are waiting for the results.
- HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Working / Worked
- Tests results were all good. Everything is clear. This was not as painful as I had read that it would be. More just uncomfortable.
- Metformin Somewhat Helpful
- I have been on Glucophage for over 4 years to treat my PCOS. I doesn't add anything for me in the treatment of infertility.
- Ovulation Predictor Kit Somewhat Helpful
- Although I did not ovulate - this would be very helpful for someone who did and way trying to find out when. Easy to use.
Close Healthy Eating
I am working on my goal of becoming a more fit and healthy person. Healthy eating and exercise are the tools I am using. Need a place to track it and share ideas and encouragements with others.
