from 189 to 184. Feeling closer to my "best" weight.

I have to admit I haven't been in the gym for a while, but I'm on my bike almost every day, and lots of walking, and stretching every night. Now if I could just stop eating cookies . . .

What I wouldn't give for some cookies..... I think they should make some virtual food that we can give each other along with the hugs and stuff.... think you can get someone on that?

Wednesday, April 30, 2008 | A Happy story

Hello friends, family, and excellent coworkers,

I have some personal news that I want to share with all of you.

My wife Alisabeth and I are going to have a baby!

She's just beginning the 14th week of her pregnancy.

This will be our first chlid, and we couldn't be more excited! Everything is going very well, and we expect a new member of our family to make a special first time appearance on the night before Halloween.

If you'll allow me to wax rhapsodic for a moment longer--I am blessed with a wife that is an amazing, supportive, beautiful partner; friends and family that bring a great deal of joy and interest to my life; and a job where I've had the chance to meet and get to know so many of you. La dolce vita.

I can't wait to post updates, and if Alisabeth agrees, a photo of a growing belly.

Nicholas

What blessed news! That "proud papa" excitement shines through your words, as does the love for your wife, your friends and your job. Having a child is the blessing of a lifetime and the love you feel now will pale in comparison as your child arrives and you gently and loving guide this little one through life. Thank you for sharing such wonderful news ... couldn't be happier for you both! ((Hugs)) Ranae

PS - Anxiously awaiting more pictures! :]

I am a neutral party in the Board Wars. I was just banging around in here from site to site trying to clear my heart. I think I have been had, big time by somebody I tried to help. Hurts, and I am trying to walk it off. Saw your profile, and, unfortunately, you get the rambling. I am an honest man, and so I tend to take that for granted when I get involved with somebody and their story. Ten years in Al-Anon, and this still gets me bitten sometimes. It does not leave me bitter, just sad. I am grateful for the lesson, and have already put it to good use. Now I think I will get back to work. My boss needs help. If you read this, your reward will be my prayer that you will have peace in your heart, and healing for anything that needs healing.
