Close Bipolar Disorder
I was diagnosed with bipolar I in 1995,after originally being treated for dysthymia.It was discovered that I was bipolar after I became manic after being put on Prozac.
Treatments
- Abilify Working / Worked
- Side effects:insomnia and decreased appetite (which is good)
- Celexa Not Working
- can't remember
- Depakote Somewhat Helpful
- gained a lot of weight
- Group Therapy Not Working
- found that the people there just wanted to "maintain"instead of get well
- Haldol Somewhat Helpful
- I was given Haldol after being brought to the hospital by police.It made me "crash" and cry uncontrollably.
- Holistic Health Considering

- Lamictal Working / Worked
- Lamictal has stabilized me and kept me from having a manic episode for over 5 yrs.

- developed lithium toxicity and was hospitalized
