Leia Elizabeth was born August 14th at 8:57 am.  She weighed 6lb 15oz and was 20 inches long.

She's perfectly healthy!  

The c-section was scary and took a little longer than expected. I lost a lot of blood and it took three tries to get the spinal in.  After it was all over, I was fine. I didn't get to see her for several minutes, but my husband took a few pictures while they were cleaning her up and weighing her.

The recovery has been uneventful. I'm supposed to make sure and get plenty of iron and rest.  I'm having trouble with the resting part.  My incision is so numb, I can't really feel when I'm doing something I shouldn't. I'm not complaining, but it's a little weird to know i'm supposed to sit aroud and not want to walk when I really feel fine..  

Right now I'm sitting in the recliner holding her and enjoying every minute.  I hate putting her down! I hate even more when she cries! It's a good thing she only cries if she's hungry or cold.. it makes me cry when she does. lol
