Stay at home mom and homeschooler. I am 29 years old and have been married since August 2006. My oldest is my 10 yr old son and a big handful. My husband works in downtown DC and is my rock. I love both my men. We had a baby girl on August 14th and are very excited. My husbands first, and he's thrilled. It was a long hard journey to get this little one and I am so happy she is here!

Close Infertility
Type: Hormonal DisordersIt took 4 years, but I have finally beat this thing called PCOS. It took metformin, clomid, HCG, and IUI to finally get to the goal.
Treatments
- Artificial Insemination Working / Worked
- Worked the first time. Not many side effects. Some cramping the day they did it. No pain.
- Clomid Working / Worked
- After taking a short break from taking this for months, I took 150mg combined with HCG and IUI, was finally successful.
- hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Working / Worked
- With the Clomid and IUI, this worked the first try. I had pregnancy symptoms almost immediately, from the drug. The injection site was very sore for a day or two.
- HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Working / Worked
- No problems, clear tubes. I had some menstrual type cramping for a couple of hours. It was slightly painful, but easily managed with Aleve.
- Hysteroscopy Working / Worked
- Found bad fibroids which were removed with surgery.
- Metformin Working / Worked
- I had stopped taking this for awhile and was working my way back up to three a day when I found I was pregnant. I ended up having been on 2 a day (1000mg) at the time I became pregnant. I never did get back up to 3. They had me stop taking them at about 8 weeks.
- Ovulation Predictor Kit Not Working
- I was never able to detect ovulation accurately using these kits. I am not sure if it was the clomid or the PCOS that caused this.
Close Pregnancy After Loss/Infertility
Coming from Infertility group! Have BFP as of Dec 14th. Had IUI & trigger after clomid days 5-9. Looks like it worked!
Open Breastfeeding
I have a newborn that I'm exclusively breastfeeding!
Open Parenting Newborns & Infants (0-1)
