Close Lupus
Mayo diagnosed Lupus at age 16 in 1970 before many knew of the disease locally. Have had many phases of living wiht and accepting - just now getting it 30 years later. I struggle more now I think because of age making it harder to bounce back and ignore.
Treatments
- Cellcept Working / Worked
- As allowed me to get off prednisone.
- Methotrexate Somewhat Helpful
- I think it kept my secondary sjogrens in tdhe shadows but was not allowing me to get off prednisone as the reason for introducing it.
- Plaquenil Working / Worked
- no problems - very usefully to help with symptoms.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Love it but trying not totake becaseu of side effects - not weight gain - lost fatty tissue on bottom of my feet - cataracts
