WELL THE GIRLS TRIED TO CALL DAD YESTERDAY AFETRNOON, HE DID ANSWER BUT PASSED THE PHONE OFF TO HIS MOTHER THEN TOOK IT BACK TO TALK, HE REFUSES TO COME OVER TO SEE THE KIDS HE SAYS THEY CAN COME TO HIM BUT HE IS DRINKING EVERY DAY AND I FOUND OUT HE DROVE MY CHILDREN HOME WHILE DRUNK OR HAD BEEN DRINKING BEFORE HE GAVE THEM A RIDE HOME.
WHEN HE DRINKS HE GOES UP ALL THE BACK LANES SO AS TO NOT GET CAUGHT ON THE AVENUE, HE WAS DRUNK LIKE AT 3 PM YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. AND WITH ALL THE MEDICATION HE NEEDS TO TAKE TO STAY ALIVE.
HE TELLS MY KIDS HE IS HAVING LOTS OF CHEST PAINS AND THAT HE CHECKS EVERY DAY HIS STRESS LEVELS, BUT YET HE CAN GO OUT AND DRINK WITH HIS OLDEST DAUGHTER, HE IS ALWAYS ON THE MOVE HE NEVER EVER STAYS STILL TO REST HIS MOTHER GETS HIM TO TAKE HER OUT ALL OVER THE PLACE, THEN RUBS MY NOSE IN IT THAT HE TAKES HER OUT SO WHY COULD I NOT HAVE ASKED HIM TO TAKE ME YEAH RIGHT NO ONE LISTENS WHEN I TELL THEM HE IS NEVER AROUND EVERY ONE ELSE HAS HIM RUNNING.
IT IS SO NOT MY PROBLEM HE IS GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER HEART ATTACK AND HE KNOWS HE IS HEADING FOR ONE, HE BLAMES ME FOR WHAT IS HAPPENING TO HIM RIGHT NOW BUT HOW CAN IT BE WHEN HE IS NOT HERE?
OH WELL I KNOW IT IS NOT ME.

no its not you , he is destroying his own life and you have nothing to do with that . you have tried to take care of him and he didn't want your help so it is out of your hands . i have learned that no matter how hard you try to help someone if they are not willing to help themselves you may as well be talking to yourself . all you can do now is say a prayer for him and try not to worry about it .and as for his SO CALLED MOTHER , I THINK SHE IS IN FOR A RUDE AWAKENING. she must be nuts . xoxoxoxoxoxo love you lizzy.

I admire your courage to stay away from him. He definitely sounds like he needs a rude awakening. I am worried about the children though with him drinking and driving. I wish you peace, wisdom and knowledge of what you can do and what you cannot do. The serenity prayer is a good friend to me and I have said it a lot lately. Sometimes things are just not in our hands to be able to do anything about them. Sometimes we can. It is wisdom to know the difference. Don't blame yourself for his behavior. You are not to blame for that. Big hugs!!!!!
