Wednesday, September 24, 2008 | A General Update story

I took my daughter back to the Dr to see what  is going on with her.

Okay we got lucky and our Dr was in the walk in clinic so because we have Ehler's-Danlos syndrome it is easy to tear a ligament or a tendon or muscle so this is what has happened to her she pulled a muscle in her stomach area so this other Dr never examined her for this he just gave her medicine for some thing that wasn't wrong so i guess she was right all along she refused to take anything except Tylenol and Divol for the pain and waited a bit. I apologized to her for not believing her and giving her a hard time about the medicine, which she did not need in the first place.

I have on occasion put my finger out in my sleep and believe me it hurts like heck and do you think the Dr will put it back no sir he won't, but they will give you antiinflamatories which i can't take so until i get it in my self i suffer, which is what i just did a few days ago.

I have been using a tens machine for my osteo arthritis pain in my knees and while it works i must be doing some thing wrong so i have to go back to physio for help or ideas.

I also have a short achillies tendon in my left leg and some times this hurts too and makes me nervous when it hurts, not so bad as i have a panic attack but still it bothers me a bit, but my Dr said now that i am getting around more it makes sense the muscle would be sore from being used more go figure.

Oh well it is a beautiful day here and i get to spend time with my beautiful 5 year old grandson after school so  life is good.

yes, life is good despite all our aches and pains .i'm glad the doctor found out what was wrong with your daughter .those anti- inflamatories are great for the pain but i can't take them very often or for more than one day because they make me swell. my back had been hurting for close to 2 weeks and i just keep doing things i shouldn't and i can barely get around now so i am going to the doctor one day next week and get me a cortizone shot in the back .....why wouldn't the doctor put your finger back in place ? i know that has to hurt . love you lizzy xoxo

Sorry to hear that your daughter was going through all that pain just because a doctor did not do a correct examination of her. I pulled a muscle in my tummy many years ago and it is painful so I feel for her, hope she is ok.

I am glad to see that you are 95% on your way of rebuilding your friendship, that is fantastic keep going hun.

I hope you are still panic free, but your achillies tendon must be killing that is a very painful area to have damage so I pray everything will be fine for you. Take care.

Thanks my girl is fine now, my panic is there a bit because of the pain in my leg, i am stopping it before it gets that bad so it is just a bit of a feeling but not bad at all.

And the friendship i am trying to rebuild is whith the girls dad i figure if i am the mom of his girls i need to be friends with him i can't do that to the girls i feel they need thier dad as much as they need me. we found another of one of his girls which he just met for the first time in September she is a beautiful lady with a husband and family. they get along good and i have a 3rd daughter and 2 beautiful grandchildren.
