Ray of Sunshine
Hey Dottie, Sending you a little sunshine on a crisp Fall Sunday. I hope you and your Mom are still doing okay. I have decided to bring my Mom home at the end of Oct. I am going to give it a try and hope that it goes well. It's so hard to pay $5300.00 a month and Mom doesn't really need that much medical care. She is so good at the NH, goes to bed early and sits peacefully in her wheelchair but when she is here, she demands my undivided attn. Makes it hard on me and the Hubby. God Bless you, hope all is well, Love, Joy
Moment of Peace
Hi Dottie, Hope you are having a peaceful week. Today is the first day of Fall ,hard to believe! The seasons are changing again and life goes on! Is your Mom still doing okay? Mom is doing pretty good, just getting over a really bad cold. I took her outside in the sun today and she said it felt good to be warm. NH is always so cold. Anyway, just dropping by to say "HI" and hoping things are going well for you and your Mom. Hugs & Prayers" Joy
Thanks
I asked to be your friend. I do feel your pain because we have felt it. Glad that a little space helping. Our loved ones, including myself!, often hoped that we would not be a burden to our loved ones. I cared for many people in nursing homes as a CNA and truly loved each patient. Believe me, the symptoms are SO much harder to bear when you are family. It took me 40 years to learn that!
Sorry
Dorthy, I am so sorry about Gracie and Sadie. I can tell your heart is broken. I think you are grieving for more than just your Mother's pets. I said today, I miss my Mom, her body is still here but her spirit is gone. I can't talk to her anymore about my problems either, and she was my best friend for as long as I can remember. It is sad and there are no easy answers. I agree the NH certainly doesn't solve all problems, but at least our aching backs are getting a little rest! Big Hug to you and hope your migraine will go away soon. Love, Joy

My 92 year old mothers see and hears things and people who are not here. Mostly her dead sisters, sometimes her chickens which she no longer has, etc. She gets most annoyed with me when I don't hear and see what she does. What is the best course of action?
