I witnessed something today which i hope i never ever see again! i witnessed a pyillipino nurse man handle nelly in a way that i hope i will never ever see that kind of behaviour ever again! it wasen,t only me who witnessed it,sadly no one said anything so i did! i told her if i so much as see her near nelly i will personally get outta this bed [even if i have to take myself of my dialysis][then by god i will! treat you the way you just have with nelly! she is an old lady and she is to be treated with respect don,t you bloody dare ever let me see that again with that this very rude so called nurse, shut nellys door!!! thankfully i was not hooked up to my dialysis! i got out of bed and made sure i opened the door before telling the staff nurse what had happened she had apprently been told by a visitor and i told the staff nurse if you do not remove that thing you call a nurse, then i will personally make it my mission to upset and annoy her,nelly is dying and although she can annoy people she doesn,t mean to she is always happy and cheers other patients up,what i witnessed i would expect to see in a victorian nurse not millienium nurse! after she was removed from nellys room [thank god!] i went and sat with nelly,she couldn,t understand what she had done wrong? it,s making me cry cuz nelly wouldn,t hurt a flea and to be treated in such a manner by a so called nurse is disgusting! and it makes me question if it is a good idea to bring people from other countrys here to work on our hospitals they are trained differently and i am very angry this has happened all because our country bring other nurse,s from other countrys because they can get away with paying them minium wages! what is this world coming to?
Well i haven,t had a great day i have sat and written to my pain doctor telling him that i cannot understand why he wrote to the doctor who is willing to do the surgery to fit me with the painpump yet when i,m offered the surgery i am then let down by my pain doctor! he even trained the surgeon! then he sent me to!! my pain pain doctor and tells me no matter what tell this surgeon i will do anything in order to help you,i was on cloud nine especially after the surgeon had told me you are a prime candidate for the pump,i was chuffed to bits and when i got home [i travelled 125miles to see the surgeon!] i went to my g.p and told him what had been said even my g.p was happy about it,that was until my pain doctor told me,we don,t do refill,s here i,m sorry i can,t help you? i was mortified to be let down the way i have and i will never ever forgive my pain doctor for letting me down,i am so very unhappy,is it really asking too much to ask for help? is it really asking too much to want some qaulity of life without clock watching for my next dose of bloody morphine? i honestly wouldn,t wish this living hell on anyone! i am lucky to sleep more than two and a half hours per night even the nurses tell me that with the drugs i,m on they would be out of it for week,s,why won,t my pain doctor help me?
Well i suppose i,ll be fobbed off with more crap in fact to give me this pump would be alot cheeper than continually giving me perscriptions every two weeks! doesn,t it make sense to actuallly put the pump in thus saving over 12 thousand pounds? work that out and it,s alot of money,i keep hoping i may one day get some luck and someone may actually give me this pump no such for luck for me,i guess i must have done something wrong in my life to annoy god,cuz i,m sure i,m being punished,i even told my mum i wish i had never been born,i guess it,s true what they say only the good die young,ain,t that a fact! cuz i must be really bad!

Oh hun what a horrible thing to see as a patient seeing another patient being treated the way Nell was. Unfortunately I dont think its just a cultural thing I think too many nurses out there treat elderly people like crap. I got so frustrated for being told off for taking so long to bathe, dress and ready elderly patients when I was working in a nursing home. There was no way i wanted to rush them and end up hurting them because of it. I think we forget all too often the lives these elderly people have gone through, wars, finacial depression, major illness, massive changes in technology. You wouldnt beleive it but mum worked at the nursing home I did for a lot longer and she went whistle blower on a male nurse who was sexually assaulting the elderly women. But guess what it was mum who was made the victim as well with the union turning up and arguing for both the managers and her side, Naturally the person with power was going to be represented more. In the end mum was forced out and this *&^%$ got away with it for ages until the nursing home was sold to someone else and all the staff were fired.
As for your pain dr he is damn well lucky im not there. Because ild be on the phone to the media. We had a woman on the news tonight who had to wait for her son for over 4 hrs waiting to be tested for this swine flu. She rang up one of the radio stations who also had our prime minister on there and expressed just what she thought. If you were someone within power within society this would have been sorted months ago and for that I am angry.
As hard as it is not to blame God ultimately it is the greed of humanity that your health is not being looked after the way it should be. You know what blame God if you want people keep telling me he is big enough to take it. Mum keeps reminding me that anything is posisble with God and I remind her, yeah I know look how my life has turned out.
Anyway hun you knwo youre always in my thoughts and prayers

That nurse better be glad I live on the other side of the world. I'd have kick her butt!!!! I know you did the right thing!!!! I'd been there right with you but they would have had to pull me off her. I tell Nelly she is in my prayers. I know all the time you have waited on that darn pump. It's not right. What exactly did that nurse do to Nelly. Whatever it was, there is no excuse and glad you butted in. Why in the hell doesn't someone get a pain pump!!! Have you gone to the prime minister, media or someone? What is it going to take? Don't blame God for all this - he can't do much on the human side of others for their mistakes. I think I would pray a lot for it and see what God CAN do. Don't shut him out completely. Write me when you can. Love you, Carol

You have to understand our NHS service to even begin to understand why Archangel can't get a pump. And there's the problem: our own Doctors don't understand the NHS. It doesn't understand itself and our Government doesn't either. In fact our Government is full of useless spongers who have wasted our taxes on things like duck houses for lakes so there is no chance they can find the cash for a pain filled patient's pain pump - after all she can still walk can't she ! Thus it would appear she can still carry out the ADL( activ ities of daily living) and isn't a priority. She must be assessed by the right branch of the NHS who must send the paperwork to the next branch- who will lose it and she will go right back to the bottom of the list. The nurses don't nurse anymore, they are technicians, they have all sorts of grades and no-one is in proper charge of them. Bring back The Matron and Dr Finlay then she'd get her pain pump! Just watch Casualty on TV and see what its like.
Keep at 'em archangel and one day you'll be surprised, the right paperwork will have reached the right person and your pain pump will be on order. God hasn't anything to do with it,inability to provide a pain pump is a man-made problem.
