Injuries Mood
Thursday, July 30, 2009 | A Frustrating story

I hurt my hip about a year ago... moving furniture in my sisters bedroom!!

It doesnt hurt on a normal day, only when I dance or stretch... when Im at college it hurts for the first day back but then goes away and is totally fine for like the whole term! It only hurts after ive had time off.

On monday I moved from the splits to a forward stretch and it REALLY hurt, but I was warm and it went away straight away.. the next day it was fine.. then I came to dance on weds morning.. i could hardly move my hip joint without shooting pains.. its not muscle pain cos i know what that feels like, its totally different.

As I warmed up it got better and by the end of the class it didnt hurt. In the evening the same thing happened!!

Im guna get it checked out but im so scared, what if its really bad, like ive destroyed my hip joint and cant dance anymore.. then i'd rather not know!! But what if i dont go and theres something they can do about it!?! Ahh

My mum thinks its something to do with my nerve, but what can they do about that!?!?

I'm sorry! If it does have to do with a nerve or hip alignment problem you could consider going to a chiropractor - with the stress dance puts on your joints and back a misalignment could be pinching the nerves causing your pain. idk that could have nothing to do with it but it's worth a shot.
    Good Luck!

Oh dear hunni that must be really worrying for you. Please go get it checked out tho. Have you tried maybe some mild pain killers? xx

whether u know or dont know the pain is still there....not knowing isnt gonna make it go away...but knowing might help it go away because as u said there might be something that can be done for it....it is what it is hun

youre better of going now, so that u have more time to fix the problem (if there is a problem) whilst ure still young, cause ure young it will heal better/faster =D xxxx
