Close Sjogren's Syndrome
Diagnosed with SJS in 1994 (lung involvement) after having symptoms including dryness & fatigue for many years - dry eyes & mouth followed later
Treatments
- Plaquenil Working / Worked
- No side effects except generic version quit working I had to switch to name brand
Open Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
I first had symptoms in 89-90 & a cystoscopy in 1990 showed I had half the bladder capacity I should have had. In 1994 I was diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome which affects all moisture producing systems in the body, though it's known mostly for dry eyes & dry mouth. In 1996, I had a second cystoscopy & was diagnosed with IC and my doctor said it was common with Sjogren's.
