  I am a 38 year old born with autism. Back in those days, nobody ever heard of autism, other then people who are mentally retarded, so they didn't think I had anything like that because I was somewhat intelligent, but I've always been very slow mentally, and I have speech impairment issues, and other such things that are typical for people on the spectrum. Its just, doctors typically think of children with autism today, thinking adults grow out of it, but you never grow out of something like that. Sad part is, all my psychiactric tests point to it, but nobody wants to put the two together just because I'm an adult, its sad in our modern times. Well like for instance, I never know what is going on in the news. Even when I do watch the news, I never comprehend whats going on really. I never have. I've never understood how people know so much about whats going on in the world *shrugs*.
