Open Addison's Disease

I was finally diagnosed with Addison's in 2002. I had problems with severe dehydration. (in the hospital 2 to 3X a month) Sever fatigue was also a major problem, especially with 4 kids.

I still get dehydrated but I don't have to go for I.V. support all the time anymore.

Prednisone Somewhat Helpful

It helps with the fatigue somewhat. I have a catch 22 as I can only have minimal amounts of steriods because of my CVID because Steriods supress the immune system which already only works at about 60.

I started moving out last week but now he will be homeless next friday because he can't find a job. He has the kids so worried about him that I will probably have to let him stay here for a couple weeks for them. My lease will only let him stay for 2 WEEKS, then he is out and on his own.

It helps the anxiety caused by the endless pain.

Sometimes helps the muscle pain associated with pleurosy.

Tried but the dosagewasn't igh enough to control the pain. Also had ups and downs from the 4 hour doasage.

Methadone Not Working

I tried it for two weeks when I did not have insurance. Caused back spasms, nausea and headaches. Then when I quit taking it I went through horrible withdralws for a week ending up in a hospital.

Was only helpful while in the hospital and recieving it through an epidural or IV.

Nerve Blocks Working / Worked

I get an epidural nerve block about every 6 weeks for two discs that are gone. It works better than anything else for thatpain.
