I was diagnosed with UC in Oct of 2007. I had a "flare" during my whole second pregnancy in 2006 but they didn't recognize it for what it was. Since September of 2007 I have been in this flare (yes 7 months long and counting...). The doctors haven't been able to get it under control, despite 4 (8week)courses of steriods. I am started Remicade treatments at the end of April, I really haven't seen any improvment besides the cramping.
My mom has suffered from debilitating migraines for at least 8 years now. They reach the point where she is vomiting and can't move. She knows a migraine is coming when she begins to see the auras. She also has a heart condition so the type of medications she can take is very limited, most of the meds out there for migraines interact with her meds for heart.
I was a teen mom. I am 19 now but I had my first daughter when I was 16 and my second when I was 17. Both were unplanned but no regrets.One thing that is always assumed about me is the stereotype for all teen moms, that I was sleeping around. My husband and I have both only ever been with each other sexually. We are proud of it, I was brought up with parents who believed in a one and only. I am glad to be able to set that example for our daughters.
