My son also decided 3 years ago not to have children. But his thinking is changing on this, because positive things are happening in his life. And I think of how wonderful our kids are and what a loss it would be if they weren't in the world. Two of his cousins have died in the past 2 years. One from an enlarged heart no one knew about and the other from a snowmobile accident. It puts things in perspective. I am so glad I didn't know about the HD back when I had them because I may have decided not to!

My husband of 38 yrs has had HD for 11 yrs. He is 3rd generation and is waiting to die. Our two daughters won't be tested but feel they will have symptons sooner or later as HD has not skipped a generation. Each has two sons and are talking to them about not having children of their own.
My husband has Huntington's Disease and cannot be left alone.
4 sessions of chemo in 2000 after mastectomy.
