"As a woman, I find it very embarrassing to be in a meeting and realize I'm the only one in the room with balls." Rita Mae Brown
I moved to the Pocono Mountains in PA 6 years ago from the Chicago burbs. I was married 5 years ago, my husband, a former Marine and currently Army civilian working for an Army Depot (DOD) was deployed to Iraq on Feb. 15 and returned home on August 11. I'm used to being alone as he goes TDY frequently but this trip was different. We just found out he leaves on Jan. 2 for his 2nd 6 month deployment to Balad, Iraq, Camp Anaconda aka "Mortaritaville". I am coming back home to Chicago over Easter to catch up with my friends and family, since I'll be alone this Easter again. I do love going home to visit everyone! Since moving to PA, I am an primary Autistic Support Teacher. I taught Early Childhood Special Education for for about 17 years when I was living in the burbs in IL. I have a 27 year old daughter, who lives in Chicago and is getting married next Oct. or November, having a destination wedding, south of Cancun they are thinking. I'm voting for that!

I am now DANCING my way up the spiral way that leads to the eighth decade! Nobody told me that 60 is when youth gets restored! What a BLAST!
I am thinking now it is both situational and maybe a chemical imbalance...still unsure.....
My husband, a former Marine, is an Army civilian who deployed to Iraq in February for a 6 month tour.
Years ago, spent a long time working on this issue and pretty much resolving it but I find it still rears it's ugly head on occassion.
I'm a member of non-rofit organization called Soldiers Angels. In addition to adoptig Soldiers, I am also on the Living Legends team. When a soldiers passes away whether in combat or at home, we are emailed the address of the family, write cards and letters of condolence, send a living tree to the family and basically support the families in any way we can. There have been so many emails.....the casualities are not slowing down.
I am an Autistic Support teacher.
My husband is a former Marine (although I have been told there is no such thing as a former Marine, once a Marine always a Marine). He works are an Army depot as an Army civilian who deployed to Iraq on Feb 15, 2008. He came home on 8-12-08 after a 6 month tour and is being redeployed on Jan. 2, 2009. I am also a member of the Soldiers Angels organization and the Spirit of Support group for the past 5 years.
I thank God for a good stable job but as of now, our investments have not only earned a dime but are continuing to lose. It's beyond frustrating.
