I have two great kids Samantha 10 and Matthew 2. My husband and I have been married for 16 years. I appreciate every day with them all. My goal is to always have love and laughter fill our home. Some days it is harder then others, but the kids always are source of joy and my son certainly provides lots of laughter.

I enjoy sewing, reading, crocheting, music, and taking walks with the family along with the 2 dogs.

We did go out and had a wonderful time. The major joy was in seeing my husband enjoy himself so much. We made a vow to take him out more often. I increased his walking , so he is getting more EXCERISE now and getting himself able to walk without the walker. Of course, Security still rules.
Oh my gosh! I know you had to have been scared out of your wits with Matthew getting so sick on you.! That is so scaRY! Glad things worked out O.K. I hAte not being able to be on the board, but maybe soon. Don't know when we can get Mario home, but we are trying for August.

Hubbie walked the entire peramiter of the 4th floor, then the 3rd floor, then the 2nd floor, then the 4th floor again and did not appear tired. I am confident about taking him out and going it alone with just me taking care of him. XXXXX crossed fingers.

My son was diagnosed with PDD-NOS. He also has sensory problems.

- Behavior Management Working / Worked
- Held get him to fall asleep in his own bed.
- Early Intervention Working / Worked
- Each day seems to be a different challenge. So it is hard to find what tools to use for each day.
- Melatonin Working / Worked
- We use this to help with his sleep. First time he we used it you yawned. We realized that we couldnt remember the last time he had yawned.
- Occupational Therapy Working / Worked
- Therapist has given us tools to help with certain behaviors.
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- She has discovered that he is flat footed and has low muscle tone in his trunk.Got insert for shoes to build arch. Use a benik to help with trunk. Also helps with sensory seeking behavior I have found.
- Picture / Word Schedules Somewhat Helpful
- Helps to show him what we are doing next.
- Play Therapy Working / Worked
- Sign Language Working / Worked
- Helps for communication with us.
- Speech Therapy Working / Worked
- It is helping him to communicate better with us to tell us what he wants.
Close Sensory Integration Disorder
My son is 2 and has sensory integration. He is needs to push cars in circles all the time. He will touch hot things and not realize it can hurt him. He always is on the move and rarely sleeps through the night for me.

- It helps to calm him down to get him to sleep.
