First day without Lucy Mood
Monday, December 8, 2008 | A Sad story

Well, today is my first day without Lucy.  Granted she was at the vet's yesterday but most of the day, I thought she'd be coming back home last night for the final days.  Then she took a turn for the worst and we had to let her go.

I got through last night okay despite the tears and splitting headache.  Today I'm just down and grieving.

It's also very very cold in my apartment and I have a work order in to have my radiator fixed.  It's hard to even just chill in the living room because it's so cold.  The bedroom is warm but I really don't want to be in there ALL day.

Hopefully, they will come sooner rather than later to fix the problem.

Not much else to say except that I called of today and rescheduled everything for tomorrow and wednesday.

Ciao for now.  Will check in to see how everyone else is doing later today.

Love Carolyn

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose a furbaby. I lost Whitey Joe, and then Chippers. Let me tell you this, you can go on Rainbowbridge.com on Monday, and have a candlelighting for your baby. I don't know what time it starts in your area, but you can check it out. I do imagine it is cold in your apt, but even if everything worked, it would still be cold without your baby. I know how it feels, and the tears are almost non stop for some time to come. I would like to thank you for your wonderful words for Chippers, and your wonderful care you gave to your baby. We need alot of people to care for animals, afterall they do love us unconditionally. Again, thanks from the bottom of my heart, and I will pray for you.
