Want to be free of people with addictions in my life.
Treatments
- 12 Step Program Working / Worked
- I did a 12 step after I left my first husband who was a sex addict. I worked out a lot of my issues, but not all :) and liked it very much.
Close Breakups & Divorce
Divorced twice.
Treatments
- Couples Counseling Working / Worked
- Worked only temporarily.
- Love Working / Worked
- Never was enough. Wish I could love enough for both, but not everyone expresses love the same way.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Was working it seemed for both of us, but became financially taxing and began to add to problems.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- Friends are a great sounding board and voice of reason.
- Support Groups Working / Worked
- Love them, need to get back into one for myself. Online is more feasible right now, and I am looking for a good one... taking suggestions!

- Things have gotten worse with time for both of us.
Open Parenting 'Tweens (9-12)
I have 2 children, 9 yo daughter and 11 yo son. My son has been diagnosed with bipolar and is on meds (finally) and stable (finally) :)) It is still an intense parenting experience and always interested in staying in touch with other parents. He has good periods and bad and the bad are where I need the most support! DUH!
Open Bipolar Disorder
I have a 11 year old son diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I have finally agreed a year ago to put him on meds and he is MUCH better now, but there are still MANY challenges. Wondering if anyone else has a bp child?
