Scoliosis was formally diagnosed when I was an adult. Family doctor called it a birth defect, which is true. You do wonder if corrections could have been made when I was younger. The double curves are a blessing and a curse. The blessing is that they are opposing which help to keep me fairly straight. The curse is that both are 90+ degrees. Some days you wonder what it would be like to not have pain. Because of the curves it does not help my asthma. I tend to be a bit of a clutz.

Interests
People fascinate me. We all want to be different but sometimes we have a hard time accepting others that are different. Love most warm blooded animals. I grew up with parents that could tame almost any type of animal. But one of them always wanted a snake. Probably would have gotten one if they thought I would not have left the nest. Love life, because no matter how difficult it can be - we can not give it back once it is taken.

Treatments
- Advair Working / Worked
- Use the 250 daily. When things get worse upgrade to the 500.
- Albuterol Working / Worked
- Do not leave home without it.
- Azmacort Somewhat Helpful
- Moved on to Advair.
- Breathing Exercises Working / Worked
- Works, but when the attacks hits you wonder if you ever did the exercises.
- Inhaler Working / Worked
- Singulair Working / Worked
- Theophylline Working / Worked
- Gave me nightmares
- Xopenex Working / Worked
- Works fairly good. Similar to Ventolin in that you feel as if you have crashed about 20 minutes after using. But it works.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- This seems to be one of the drugs that angel and devil all wrapped in one. But at the end of the day we do what we have to do to breathe.
