You...You Broke My Dipstick Mood
Monday, April 21, 2008 | A Rambling story
Why does everything always seem to happen at once? We all know the feeling. When one thing happens everything and everyone wants to fall apart at once. Seems like it's always my luck ( yeah, that's why the screen name ).
Anyways, we've been getting our oil changed at Wal*Mart for years. We've had one problem with them in the past and that was once they put the dirty oil filter back in. Well yesterday my girlfriend got home and said she heard a funny noise in the car so she decided to check all the fluids. When she pulled out the dipstick guess what....it snapped in half. After an investigative closer look at the crack there was a strange gloss over where it had split in two. Those jerks broke it at the last oil change and didn't tell anybody. They just super glued it back together. Boy howdy was she livid LOL. Well today she went up to Wal*Mart and gave them a piece of her mind. She must have done something right because not only did they repay her the price of the last oil change they also gave her money for the new dipstick we have to order from the dealership and fired the guy who did it. I personally felt bad about the guy getting fired but she said the manager said this has happened before with him so they had to let him go. I wonder what people's motives are....If he was honest in the first place it wouldn't have been a big deal.
So the moral of this story is be careful where you get your tires rotated and your oil checked ( that goes as much for doctors as it does mechanics hehe ).
In other news everything is going pretty good. Still smoke free, laying off the sugary sodas, and not one cow has landed upon my lips ( I am however starting to grow feathers and clucking ). I've been to the library and borrowed some books on Mexican cooking so we'll see how that goes. I could live on Mexican foods. I'm also waiting on my research nurse to get the package I mailed her with all of my medical info. She sent me a family tree thing and a VHL document to fill out but I already messed up...I downloaded one wrong somehow and it just shows up as codes...whoops...oh well I'll see if my totally computer savvy girl can fix it and if not I'll have to admit my errors to my nurse. Other than that I'm just waiting on disability to call..write..do something. I was supposed to hear something by today but I understand this is the government we are talking about..it could take another week or two.
Well journal that's all for now....now onto my favorite website Pogo.com to play a few games ( If any of you are on that site add me to your friend's list. My screen name is the same there as it is here and send me a message.)

Yeah, know about Wal-Mart!!! I lost the rear end assembly on my Chev. classic because of those people. I loved that car but in order for me to keep it, would have cost me#3000-4000.00 to fix. So ended up with an Impala. Nothing compared to that classic, but now I am happy because of the high gas prices!!!
