Hi there, My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 rcc in january he is only 36 years old so We can relate to you about the age thing. We are being treated at MD Anderson Cancer center in Houston TX and all of the kidney cancer patients here are much older. I will tell you what our doc told us, Age is on your side. Because you are young you will be able to fight it harder than someone much older than you. This is an awful disease but my husband has improved so much in the last 6 months. He had went from 220lbs to 165lbs in just 3 months. Since he started treatment he has put on weight he's now now steady at 190lbs. He had his left kideny removed along with the tumor. The cancer had spread to his lungs before we caught it so he is stage 4, but you would never know it. He feels better now than he felt before he found out he was sick. He is being treated with Torisil and it has shrank all tumors over 50%. Dont give up because there is hope and you have youth on your side. Our faith has grown by leaps and bounds and prayer to our lord has gotten us through some really rough days. Keep the faith and we will be praying for you daily!

Hi! I am so sorry to hear everything you are going through. I do have an answer that will hopfully get you to the hospital im Maryland. Angel Flight a charitable organazation that provides no cost transportation to children and adults who need treatment, but can't afford to get there. Well I was diagnosed with VHL in October of last year when they found a hemangioblastoma that was connected to the right side of my spinal cord and attached to the base of my brain.I have been recently diagnosed with kidney cancer caused by my VHL.
Close Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer)
Recently found out I have RCC as a complication of VHL.
