Duke appt. set Mood
Friday, June 19, 2009 | A General Update story

I won't go into all of the crazy stuff going on here that has stressed me to the max because I just don't feel like it.  I do have the appt. for Duke and it is not until Sept. 22nd.  Must be a really long wait to get into the top place in the nation for MG.  My neuro's nurse did tell me to call for any cancellations as I need to get in sooner.  I will do that as soon as my car and computer is fixed, can't take off right now.

Finally got the adjustor out and he said that he would do all he could to not let the insurance co. total my car.  He even found a couple of the major parts for the car while he was here.  I felt better after his visit, still no final word, but I want my car fixed not totalled.  The rental car is nice, but I like mine much better, better stereo and I know how it handles much better.  I'm a nervous wreck driving that rental car.

The boy is doing great in his pre-K program and loves it, so that is a good thing.  He was the only one in his class yesterday because the rest were out sick, gulp.  I know it wasn't because of nice weather because it stormed all day yesterday.  I just hope he doesn't bring anything home as that is the last thing I need right now.

We did have kittens since I last wrote.  5 total.  3 orange and 2 black, with three being bobtails.  I have one bobtail already given away, four-well three more to go.  I have to keep her favorite-the first born.  He's orange and has a tail and she dotes on him like you wouldn't believe.  I stayed with her thru the whole delivery under that darn spider infested porch, but I"m glad because that darn first one would crawl over the new ones and Patches would keep licking him instead of getting the bags of the new ones.  I had to keep moving that little booger.  Patches is a good mommy for such a young cat and I didn't want kittens, but it is nice for the boy to see the cycle of life.  He has seen enough death and now he gets to see new life.  He runs to the kittens when he wakes up every morning and when he gets home from school.  I can tell it will be hard to give them away, much harder on him than me. lol

I'm hoping the storm has passed in my household, but I'm not holding my breath.  Ebbs and flows.  Just hoping for some flowing right now.  I hope you all have a wonderful day full of laughter and miracles.  If you don't hear from me it's because I have a virus, major virus on my computer.  Love, Peace and Courage,  Kim

It is good to read that you are coping --- with help. I do not know what your internet provider uses for security, but I have the Verizon program, and it is awesome. HUGS!!!

Hi Kim, In spite of all you are going through you sound so sane! When I get stressed to the max it is so hard not to feel "crazy". The kittens are just wonderful to have at this time and I hope the fact that you will keep one kitty will make it easier for your son to let the other kittens go. Thank you so much for letting us know that you are hanging in there and keeping us informed of your situation. Love you and am praying for you! love & hugs Toshie

it's good to hear from you. I've learned also not to ask "what next?"
I hope you get good news about your car soon. I don't like driving any car but my own that I am confident with. I know my son is so attached to our cat he won't allow me to give her to the farm where she'd be much happier and safer. such is life with little boys = ). I could do it but he may never forgive me! I always wanted to have a batch of kittens for my son to see too. I am glad you have that. speaking of spiders ... my #1 dislike in the world personally ... when we lived near DC there was an OVER abundance of this one spider on our porch. I swear it had a blue body and and red legs. well once when my son was about 2, he was sticking a bat between the railings or something where their webs were and next thing I know he's wiping his neck. I look and there one is ... spread out over the entire right side of his neck. hmmm. what's a spider fearing mom to do? quickly I took a newspaper and whooshed it over his neck and amazingly it was gone. no bites. whew! we played inside the rest of that day. hope things settle down for you a bit. or at least you can get in to duke earlier. hugs and love, m
