Welcome to DS. I hope you find the support you need.
My son has bi-polar and is a substance abuser. He threatens to kill me and others on phone messages when he is drunk. When sober he says its not going to happen, he just feels like saying those things. I have tried to find support. He lives in another state then I do for my own sanity. He is [in jail right now and may be for a long time due to habitual offender laws. I am so sad for him.
I had two parathyroids removed at age 19 due to a benign tumor on one of them. For the past ten years, I am now 50, I have had another tumor come on one of the remaining parathyroids. Just wanted to share my history with anyone who is interested in this familiar parathyroid that runs in my family.
My son spent most of his twenties in jail for things he did while intoxicated. He has been homeless, and still drank. I have records from the doctor where he ask for rehab and they did not send him. He completed 90 days rehab and did not drink until the first day he got out. He is in jail facing habitual offender. I am so sad that he also has mental illness and could not be helped due to his drinking.
My son has been in jail over 30 times during his twenties. He is now 30 and in jail again until April 09. I have tried to help in every way possible but he has depression anxiety maybe bipolar and a bad drinking problem. I am a single mom and have little support from family.
