I have had fibromyalgia all my life, diagnosed 10-12years ago, doctor said it would go 2-3yrs. but of course it didn't
Treatments
- Acupuncture Working / Worked
- It was helpful, if only it could have continued. It was very up lifting to my wellbeing as well.
- Codeine Working / Worked
- constipation
- Elavil Working / Worked
- Amitriptyline very good up to 50mg above that got heart puputaion and vision problems
- Heat Working / Worked
- I find this is the best for me but of cause to is very restrictive I use on my back and legs and if I could find a heat suit for tip to toe
- TENS Working / Worked
- Very good if I only had pain in one place used on legs neck and back Disadvantage always getting in mess with wirers and needing more than one tens
Close Breakups & Divorce
I have been split up from from partner for nearly two years. He is a compulsive lier and has got us into masses of debt problems over the 18yrs of the marriage. My problem is I love him. He still wants to phone me every day. He has fallen apart he smells doesn't was or change his cloths, he sleeps all day. But I still find it so hard to give up on him I so want him to make the effort to sort himself out but he just doesn't want to.

- Couples Counseling Not Working
- During counseling he said he didn't have credit cards 3mths later I found out Ł8.000 debt over 3 cards
- Forgiveness Working / Worked
- Yes worked for me, I can still talk and help him mostly just to let him talk about himself but I know understand why, but I don't have to live with it.
- Leave Working / Worked
- For me again gave me the brake from a very insecure man and I always was so excited to get home again. but he was always just so resentful of my not being there for him.
- Love Working / Worked
- I still love him.
- Music Not Working
- He had a massive collection of records, cds etc but he only played when he was on his own most he brought without my even knowing so he was always trying to hid it, we didn't even have our own song I did but it didn't seem to me anything to him.
- Pets Working / Worked
- He had the family dog which is what keeps him going has stopped him killing himself
- Psychotherapy Not Working
- He went about his lying, they diagnosed he had multipule compulsive behaviours but he just refused to accept
- Reading Somewhat Helpful
- Again for me helped me understand, but he read and could tell every one else how to save there marriage but had no interest on working on his own.
- Support from Friends & Family Somewhat Helpful
- Works for me, but he just was unable to share and his family just didn't want to know, I was the only one he could talk to but it was all one side he talked I had to listen
- Talking Not Working
- He talks I listen. After two years of listening to him I just dont listen anymore its just the some things over and over.
- Time Not Working
- Even now after two years of waiting for him to make some effort to communicate with me, to date me to take me out but nothing happens just text messages or phonecalls telling what he ate today, but still he says he doesn't want it to end
