Pokie; I didn't read your journal before. Big huge hug to you. One word of advice I can give you is that in a couple of years life will be easier. Noone ever tells you how all consuming it is to be a mother of young ones. Been there, and I'm finally getting my gorrve back..my girls are 9 & 12..and life is a lot easier (minus the OCD)

I think you and I may have some things in common. My 7 year old was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 5 and for the last year he has shown some symptoms of OCD. He picks on his arms to the point that they bleed. Maybe we can support each other.

My daughter was 4 too when she was diagnosed with severe ADHD, OCD and anxiety disorder, so I know how dark of a place that can be and how you feel like you are lost because of always dealing with her. It does get better! Don't be afraid to try different things, and don't automatically discredit something. Research everything, talk to people who have been there and your doc and the right combination of things will come. Meds, OT for sensory issues, and therapy helped teach my daughter ways to deal with her surroundings and made things so much easier and made her TONS happier with her life. I was scared of meds and put them off for years, now she has thanked me for helping "calm her brain down"
