The still small voice Mood
Monday, March 30, 2009 | A Positive story

Yesterday I thought I was all alone in my tears and my fears, but deep down in my spirit I heard the sound of someone saying "do not fear, for lo I am with you always".  I have heard this voice many times.  Mostly I have ignored it.  Sometimes he has told me to do something one way and I have done it another and failed miserably.

Other times he has just told me "I am here".

"I am here" feels like a warm embrace on a cold rainy day.

"I am here" sounds like a bird singing in the trees amidst the most violent wind storm

"I am here" is the feeling I get when I see a beautiful sunset after a stressful day

"I am here" is the kiss on a cheek from a precious child

"I am here" is the love of the Savior that died on the Cross for a people who rejected Him

But He said "Fear not, for lo I am with you always".

He is the "I am here", the "still small voice" that I hear deep down in my spirit when I think I am alone in my tears and my fears.  He is the voice I have heard and ignored.  He is the warm embrace on the cold day.
