About Me
I live in Northern New Mexico. I am a Christian. I love animals and have two dogs, a blue heeler named Beau and a Boxer mix puppy named Sandy. I think they keep me going. I suffer from Fibromyagia, arthritis and chronic depression. I am an animal lover, and live in the country where I see many animals and that makes me happy. I recently left a emotionally and verbally abusive marriage. I am a brand new woman. I am about to begin the process of a divorce.

Interests
I am very involved in my Church, in fact my ex-husband and I founded our little church. It is a cowboy church in New Mexico. We have only about 15 members. I enjoy singing, and sing in a gospel band called "God only knows". I am even learning to write songs for the first time in my life.

Close Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1987, when the disorder was still much more misunderstood even than it is now. I also have arthritis and clincal depression. I live in constant pain. My husband does not understand my problems and gets angry with me when I can't do something or even if I mention that I hurt. That only adds to the problems.
Treatments
- Acupuncture Not Working
- I tried it many years ago and really can't remember if it helped
- Aqua Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- Love it, but it doesn't last long enough
- Cymbalta Not Working
- I saw no difference and my doctor discontinued the medication and opted for effexor
- Effexor Somewhat Helpful
- I don't see much difference
- Elavil Not Working
- did nothing at all
- Guaifenesin Not Working
- did not notice any difference
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- works better than anything I have tried. It takes the edge off the pain
- TENS Somewhat Helpful
- It helps some, actually more than most things I've tried.
- Ultram Not Working
- I don't think my doctor left me on it long enough for me to see any real benefit. It made me dizzy and very tired.
Close Arthritis
I have both Fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis of the spine, as well as spinal stenosis. I am in constant pain as a result. I have not found much that helps.
Treatments
- Glucosamine/Chondroitin Not Working
- I saw no difference
- Ibuprofen Somewhat Helpful
- Same as with Tylenol, minor help but can't take with Dolobid
- Tylenol Somewhat Helpful
- It seems to take the edge off, but I am not supposed to take it with my prescription Dolobid
Open Diets & Weight Maintenance
I am 50 years old and for the first 40 years of my life, I weighed 100 pounds or less. I hit 40 had a hysterectomy and put on 50 pounds, I would like to lose at least 25 pounds
Treatments
- Curves Working / Worked
- Curves worked great, but I moved to a place where there isn't one and somehow adopted a more sedentary life and now wish I could get back to it.
- Eating Healthier Foods Somewhat Helpful
- I do ok if I stick to it, but I tent to "fall off the wagon"
- Eat Less Not Working
- I have never been a big eater
- Physical Exercise Somewhat Helpful
- Because of physical limitations I am not able to exercise as I would like to
Open Back Pain
I am having extreme low back pain, radiating down my legs. I can barely move my legs and my feet are numb. This is new to me. I do have fibromyalgia and spinal stenosis
Treatments
- Bedrest Not Working
- The pain is too bad to sleep
- Chiropractic Adjustment Somewhat Helpful
- like taking a very expensive aspirin, and just as temporary
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- At least it makes me feel better temporarily
- Ibuprofen Somewhat Helpful
- temporary relief
- Physical Therapy Considering
- It has never helped me before
Open Asthma
Type: Adult AsthmaI am newly dx with asthma. It was caused by long term smoke inhalation because my husband insisted on using a woodstove that was not properly sealed
Treatments
- Albuterol Not Working
- I notice very little difference
