Dx last year with stomach erosion, GERD, small hiatial hernia, and had a stomach polyp removed, seemingly out of the blue. However, i was on a low dose of antibiotics for gum inflammation over several years. which i have now stopped. Now i also have a thrush infecion in my esophagus, and my stomach still has erosions. I have been on a bland diet for the past year, really careful about what i eat, which helps some. But this has been a real journey. Still have alot of nausea, and poor appetite, with weight loss . See my doctor regularly, so he is watching this. Also went for additional consultations. Realizing now that this is really a long-term thing, and am trying to keep a positive attitude. Some days are better than others. Today, i am "okay", and hope to feel better. Calling friends, reading, praying, and knitting seem to help.

thanks, today is better - read your profile - what a struggle. maybe it's jersey's toxic air? i'm originally from newark moved to FL 10 years ago but have had stomach issues since i was in my late teens. hope you're having a good day.

Hi, and welcome, fellow Jerseyite....why are we both cursed with these runaway stomach's? I'm in central jersey, how about you? I know how tired you start to feel battling digestive ailments on a daily basis!! All I can wish you is relief...and a day in which your dreams come true!! LOL!!

- I am struggling with stomach erosion whci hmay have been brought on by longterm use of antibiotics for gum inflammation. Under the name of Periostat...has anyone heard of it? Now i have GERD a haital hearnia and periodic heartburn nausea and difficulty eating.... this is all fairly new and it is frustrating! I am hopeful though to find some lifestyle and diet changes and woul love to get off of meds but not now...looking for support...
