Close Parents of Children with ADHD
After taking my 3rd phone call in a week from a crying preschool teacher claiming my daughter was the next Hitler, I got her to a new doctor who diagnosed ADHD. That was 6 years and numerous med changes ago. Today things have settled down to a manageable level, but everyday still brings new challenges and rewards!
Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Update: was diagnosed in May 2009 with MS after my 2nd bout of Optic neuritis in a year. Meeting with a specialist soon to "type" the MS ------------- I have yet to get an official diagnosis, but my neuro is calling it "probable MS." Started with abdominal pain 4 years ago and has progressed to my entire right side being weak and numb. I'm just starting a new round of tests, hoping that they will show something so I can finally have an answer
Treatments
- Copaxone Too Soon to Tell
- Neurontin Not Working
- It worked for a little while, then stopped working. The dose had to be increased every 3 months until I was maxed out and didn't get relief
- Zanaflex Somewhat Helpful
- At least it gives me a few hours where the muscle spasms aren't severe so I can get a little sleep
