I am a fifty five year old female, that has suffered from major depression with sucidal idealations. II have two children and two grandch;ildren which are the reason I am alive today. I love growing things, cooking, any kind of crafts, and getting to know people. I have an asso. degree in human services, HAHA I was going to be a D&A counselor for young adults.

I like to do all sorts of crafts. help others organize their places. being outdoors.swimming, and I use to love to hike until I could no longer do it. Love meeting new people and getting to know them. I like messing around in my flowers. inside and outside ones. Have a pretty green thumb. Can make just about anything grow

Close Chronic Pain
Had polio @18 months. Was ok until birth of second child. Then the back pain started, and it got were I couldn't walk as far, my leg wuold just guit on me. I ruptured several disks in my back and broke my hip. Wouldn't heal so removed 5"of bone and ball that goes into socket. Leg now usless(except to cause pain)Three rears ago shattered l wrist, fell in Jan broke arm and fell in March and broke Left leg again.Also have Hep. C
Treatments
- Chiropractic Adjustment Working / Worked
- worked some, until they refused to touch me again
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Seems to be working. Has worked for depression and I think has eased my pain somewhat
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- worked for a while
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- worked but Medicaid quit paying for it. That was the reason I was put on Methadone
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- Works when I can take it. Can't afford it and medicaid won't pay for it.
- TENS Working / Worked
- Worked when I had one then someone borrowed it and never returned it.
Close Cocaine Addiction & Recovery
After they made me quit work because of my disability my depression just started on a downhill run. Cocaine seemed to btring me friends, feel better and I wasa always on the go. Everybody became my friend. (I dealt to pay for own habit.)how I justified it. Boyfriend got bustsed so we went to rehab, had 8 yrs clean. started using 4 years ago, meth and ice this time. not out of control yet
Treatments

- I hated rehab at first but they helped me see why I used and got me started working on resolving some of those issued.
- Support Groups Working / Worked
- They say do 90meetings in 90 days well I did about 120 meetings in three mo. That is what helped me stay clean. Now I don't go to meetings (Long story.)
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- I go to therapy on a regular basis. If not for my addiction for the issues that make me want to use. Make me want not to be were or who I am.
Open Physical & Emotional Abuse
My father was very physically abusive to the rest of the family, because of my polio and going to the hospital daily for therapy I didn't get hit but took the emotional. Looking for a father figure I picked abusive men. The last one (just got rid of 3 weeks ago)liked to play lots of head games and use his money to control me. I finally got sick of it. No more I am going to get healthy this time. Almost made it about 10 years ago. Oh well everybody pray for me please.

- I have had a personal therapist for forever it seems like. I think I received the best help from the abuse house where I lived. We did alot of different things.
